Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) for the Vascular Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) in Norfolk, VA. The role has full-time hours and requires BSN and Virginia RN licensure with BLS within 90 days of hire.

You will lead a 24-bed stepdown unit, supervise nursing staff, drive safety and quality outcomes, and manage budgeting and payroll processes while promoting exceptional patient and family experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
• Licensed registered nurse in Virginia (RN).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership RN role or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical area.
• Supervise patient care services staff and ensure safety and quality outcomes.
• Interview, hire, develop and retain staff to build a reliable team.
• Assist in unit budget development and payroll/purchasing processes.
• Serve as a clinical resource to team members.
