Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
• Active RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation and must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily functions of unit nurses and CNAs to provide leadership on the floor.
• Chart accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide, manage, and coordinate patient care and services to support the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Accurately prepare and administer medication as ordered by a physician.
• Respond in a leadership capacity to emergencies related to patient and staff safety.
• Coordinate patient care plans and services.
• Exhibit professional conduct and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
• Communicate and work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
