Job summary

Central Ohio Urology Group is seeking a Telephone Triage Nurse to provide telephone triage, nursing assessments, and professional nursing care per established standards. You will document patient information in EMR, respond to calls, and coordinate testing and admissions.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate and an Ohio RN license, with strong verbal and written communication skills. On-site work in Columbus, OH is expected along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in a medical practice setting preferred.
• Possession of an RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming telephone calls from patients and assess medical needs.
• Record clear and concise notes in the electronic medical records.
• Handle inbound calls from designated providers and queues for all providers.
• Instruct patients on medications, treatment instructions, and arrange testing and admissions.
• Educate patients on lifestyle changes to promote health.
• Advocate for patients within the medical system.
