Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced RN Trauma Coordinator to drive clinical excellence, quality improvement, and program development across a trauma center. You will work with the Trauma Medical Director and multidisciplinary teams to ensure top-tier care from arrival to recovery.

The role offers full-time days with 5x8-hour shifts, leading system-wide improvements and supporting trauma designation efforts. Compensation aligns with experience and bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

  • RN license in state of practice.
  • Minimum of three years nursing experience caring for trauma patients in a critical care setting.
  • BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and either PALS or ENPC.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate trauma patient care management and implement evidence-based protocols.
  • Serve as clinical resource for trauma nursing staff and assist with complex patient care.
  • Lead trauma program meetings, case reviews, and morbidity/mortality reviews.

RN Trauma Coordinator | Full-Time | Days

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced RN Trauma Coordinator to play a critical leadership role in advancing trauma care across the continuum of treatment. This is an opportunity for a passionate trauma nurse to move beyond bedside care and drive clinical excellence, quality improvement, program development, and patient outcomes within a designated trauma center.

Working closely with the Trauma Medical Director and a multidisciplinary team, you'll serve as a clinical expert, educator, advocate, and change agent, helping ensure that every trauma patient receives the highest standard of care from arrival through recovery.

Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | Days
Work Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts

Salary Range: $55.98 - $83.96 per hour

Compensation is based on factors including experience, education, training, seniority, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

What You’ll Do

As the Trauma Coordinator, you will help oversee and strengthen all aspects of the Trauma Program, including clinical practice, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating trauma patient care management and implementation of evidence-based clinical protocols and practice guidelines
  • Serving as a clinical resource for trauma nursing staff and assisting with complex patient care challenges
  • Responding to trauma activations when in-house and participating in clinical rounds and patient follow-up
  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary trauma program meetings, case reviews, and morbidity and mortality reviews
  • Collaborating with physicians, rehabilitation teams, nursing staff, EMS providers, and other stakeholders to optimize patient outcomes
  • Identifying, documenting, and facilitating resolution of trauma performance improvement opportunities
  • Supporting trauma registry operations and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting
  • Assisting with American College of Surgeons (ACS) verification and state trauma designation requirements
  • Building strong partnerships across the hospital and community to promote trauma program success
  • Serving as a liaison between the hospital and regional EMS agencies
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience caring for trauma patients in a critical care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
