Job summary

Job description

As a Supervisor Trauma Operations, your voice influences patient care and is valued at every level—from direct management interactions to participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and advance nursing practice.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for coordinating clinical, management, and business activities, providing leadership for the delivery of nursing care and performance improvement for the trauma‑injured patient. Supervises and facilitates the operational management of clinical nursing practice, strategic planning, and project initiatives within the trauma program. Exercises management responsibilities through problem–solving and collaboration, independently and as delegated by the Trauma Director or Trauma Manager. Oversees all Trauma Nurse Leads, participates in data analysis, problem solving, and coordinates the implementation of processes to assure regulatory compliance with the American College of Surgeons and state trauma designating bodies. Works collaboratively with the trauma registry to ensure productivity, validity, and timely submissions.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) designation.
  • No travel required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in critical care, ER, or trauma.
