The Transplant Coordinator Nurse at Mayo Clinic is responsible for coordinating all aspects of care for the transplant patient population, collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team to meet needs across the care continuum. It includes data interpretation, education, and leadership in quality initiatives.

The role requires an RN license, a BSN or equivalent, and 1 year of clinical RN experience (3 years preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience required; 3 years preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.
• Coordinators in Transplant must obtain CCTC or CCTN credential within 3 years of hire; OC(N/CPHON) or BMTCN credential within 3 years for Bone Marrow Transplant.
• Internal applicants must attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS required; valid for 90 days post start date; acceptable certifications include AHA/Heartcode BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross CPR/AED for Professionals.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate all aspects of care for the transplant patient population.
• Assess and plan in collaboration with patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary team.
• Provide patient and family education on a consistent basis.
• Provide leadership through community involvement, committee work, and quality improvement.
• Comply with ANA Nursing standards, UNOS guidelines, FACT guidelines.
