Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a transplant coordinator RN to oversee care for transplant patients, living donors, and families. You will coordinate across the continuum of care and provide education and support to patients and their families.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate education, care planning, and documentation, ensuring quality and compliance across the transplant program. A strong nursing background and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, or BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• RN licensure with Multi-state Compact or single-state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical, surgical, financial, psychosocial, nutrition, and pharmaceutical care across transplant stages.
• Educate patients and families about the transplant process and maintain open communication with all parties.
• Act as a patient advocate to ensure transplantation or donation is an appropriate option.
• Document care timely and accurately in EMR/OTTR and maintain regulatory compliance.
