Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Coordinator to manage patient transfers across facilities, ensuring timely bed placement and optimal care coordination. The role involves collaboration with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff to streamline patient movement and improve throughput.

Requirements include a nursing degree, an RN license, and 3 years of acute care experience. The position offers full-time hours with 12-hour shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
• RN License in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located – multi-state license may be required.
• Knowledge of hospital operations, patient care practices, and EMTALA compliance.
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions including centralized patient placement.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to appropriate facilities.
• Facilitates patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Communicates with referring facilities, physicians and hospital staff to coordinate transfers.
• Maintains accurate data in patient records and center workflow systems.
