Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Command Center Registered Nurse to manage bed assignments, admissions, and transfers, ensuring safe, timely patient flow. You will coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to place patients in appropriate care settings.

The role requires a BSN and an active RN license with at least five years of ED/ICU or acute care experience, plus BLS-HCP; ACLS/PALS preferred. On-site in Colorado with on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN degree and current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS-HCP certification required on hire or within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum five years of RN experience in ED, ICU or acute care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, directs and coordinates transfers and admissions from physician offices, hospitals and other settings to appropriate unit.
• Facilitates patient placement by evaluating diagnosis, acuity and bed availability.
• Collaborates to identify bed capacity issues and communicate surge capacity needs.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and completes transfer documentation.
