Qualifications

• AA RN required
• BA/BS in Nursing or Healthcare Management preferred
• 1–3 years healthcare operations experience preferred
• 4–6 years patient transfer coordination experience preferred
• 4–6 years patient care experience preferred
• Knowledge of EMTALA and patient transfer regulations
• IBON Nursing license upon hire
• Iowa mandatory reporters for child and dependent adult abuse
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider per American Heart Association within 180 days

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between transferring and receiving medical staff
• Arrange transportation and accommodations for patient transfer
• Ensure compliance with state and federal transfer regulations
• Maintain detailed records of all transfer activities for quality assurance
• Monitor and evaluate transportation logistics and efficiency
