Job summary

St. Luke’s Telehealth Transfer RN role is an on-site, part-time position in Boise. The Transfer Center connects providers for consults, transfers, admissions, and patient placement with 24/7 support.

The role has no direct patient interaction and requires evening, 12-hour shifts (11am–11:30pm) two days per week, with rotating weekends/holidays and certification pay. Qualified candidates hold an ADN (BSN preferred), 3+ years RN experience, and active RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years RN experience; acute care preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: RN license in state; BLS certification

St. Luke's Virtual Care Center is in the heart of downtown Boise, surrounded by skiable mountains and raftable rivers. St. Luke's Telehealth Transfer team is responsible for supporting patient care to a higher level of care by connecting providers for consults, transfers, admissions, and placement of patients. Has the authority to enact decisions on an immediate basis that promotes best patient care.

• Transfer Center support is available 24/7

Composed of both clinical and nonclinical personnel to ensure connection of providers to the appropriate location with required physician specialties

Average call volume is 17,000 calls a month which includes an an average of 2,400 new patient encounters

No direct interaction with patients occurs in this role

Teamwork, communication, and phone etiquette are key pieces for success in this department

• On site position in high tech facility; NOT REMOTE work
• Part-time (0.6 FTE, 48 hours per pay period), Evening /swing shift 11am-1130 pm, 12-hour shifts, 2 days/week, days vary each week. Rotating weekends/holidays required.
• Certification pay available

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred
• Experience: 3+ year RN Experience; acute care highly preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
