Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a Training & Development Specialist RN to lead onboarding and ongoing training for clinical support staff across Minnesota. The role involves designing curricula, coordinating with leadership, and delivering instruction for RN, LPN, MA, and HCA II positions, including ultrasound training.

You will travel to health centers across the affiliate and provide on-the-job coaching while aligning with PP’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - current license in MN, IA, and NE or ability to obtain before start date.
• One year of RN experience
• Current BLS Certificate for healthcare providers
• Experience effectively training and supporting new employees.
• Working knowledge of technology including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and trains newly hired clinical staff across roles (RN, LPN, MA, HCA II) in Family Planning and Abortion Care including Ultrasound.
• Collaborates with staff and leadership to assess needs and develop interventions and materials.
• Designs and develops training materials for staff training, mentoring and coaching.
• Creates varied learning tools: instructor-led trainings, guides, eLearnings, and presentations.
• Develops and evaluates training programs for new services and expansions aligned with strategy.
• Implements evaluation systems to ensure training quality and consistency.
• Oversees proctoring and privileging for non-clinician staff.
• Travels to Planned Parenthood locations to provide on-the-job training and evaluation.
