Job summary

HEMIC's HIMI division is seeking a Telephonic Case Manager to provide nurse case management and care coordination for workers’ compensation claims. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and collaboration with claimants, physicians, and claims specialists to return employees to work and life.

In-person work at the HIMI Tower in Honolulu, with a focus on compliant guidelines and timely reporting. Requires RN licensure and 1–3 years of relevant experience; prior certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BSN preferred, ADN may apply.
• 1–3 years nurse case management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Proactive, resourceful and diplomatic with strong communication skills.
• CCM, CDMS, CIRSC or COHN certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides telephonic nurse case management and care coordination in workers' compensation settings.
• Documents all information in Guidewire Claim System and ImageRight.
• Completes timely initial, status, and closing reports per guidelines.
• Assesses treatment plans and coordinates diagnostics, therapies, and referrals.
• Develops medical case management plans balancing quality of care and cost.
