Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires NJ nursing licensure, BLS/CPR, and 6 months of nursing experience, with telemetry or med/surg experience preferred. BSN in progress and/or ACLS are desirable. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits discussed during offers.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or be in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• 1 year telemetry or med/surg nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing care according to evidence-based practices and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Documenting assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations at point-of-care.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care.
