Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, patient-focused care, and commitment to ongoing education are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document care using Point-of-Care electronic systems.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe discharge planning across disciplines.
