Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s Canonsburg Hospital 2West unit seeks a dedicated RN to provide direct nursing care on a 40-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit. You will care for diverse patients across cardiac, pulmonary, infectious disease, neurology, GI, surgical and orthopedic specialties, while supporting observation patients.

The role emphasizes collaboration with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Cardiac Monitor Technicians and Unit Secretaries to deliver high-quality patient care and foster professional

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34/Act 33/Act 73/ FBI Background Clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan and coordinate patient care for the appropriate age group.
• Initiates, monitors and revises the interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment and physician orders.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provides teaching to patients and families to guide them across the care continuum.
• Precepts or mentors students and new staff where applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
