Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's 2West- Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit in Canonsburg Hospital seeks an experienced RN to provide direct nursing care in a 40-bed unit with cardiac, pulmonary, infectious disease, neurology, GI and orthopedic specialties.

You'll collaborate with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Cardiac Monitor Technicians and Unit Secretaries, follow the nursing process, document comprehensively, educate patients and families, and support staff development in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license or multi-state license (eNLC).
• Active CPR certification and compliance with HIPAA rules.
• Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care according to policies and standards.
• Uses the nursing process to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Documents patient care comprehensively and accurately.
• Teaches patients and families across the continuum of care.
• May precept students or new staff; supports team development.
