Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist seeks a registered nurse for Family Medicine in Conover. The role supports patient-centered care, using telecommunication tools to coordinate testing, follow-up, and education. Schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with 40 hours of full-time commitment.

Qualifications include RN license, BCLS, and two years acute care experience (BSN preferred). Additional ACLS/PALS may be required in some areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of acute care experience required. BSN preferred.
• Prefer acute care experience within the last 10 years.
• Previous experience in Telephone Triage and with Health Insurance and Managed Care concepts preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of practice and BCLS certification required. ACLS/PALS may be required in select areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care, acting as partner and adviser to help patients manage health care while respecting culture and values.
• Uses telecommunication tools (telephone, fax, email, internet, patient portal) to assess and guide care.
• Ensures scheduling and follow up on test results for providers with approved protocols and test result explanations.
• Applies ANA Code of Ethics to professional obligations and for patients in care.
• Maintains knowledge of care teams and adapts communication to diverse backgrounds.
