Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC, is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time role in an outpatient practice. The position supports telecommunication-based triage and patient education, coordinating tests and follow-up with providers.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with acute care experience; BSN is preferred. ACLS/PALS may be required in some areas. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of acute care experience required. BSN preferred.
• Prefer acute care experience within the last 10 years.
• Previous experience in Telephone Triage and with Health Insurance and Managed Care concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care, supporting patients and families to manage health goals and treatment preferences.
• Uses clinical judgment and telecommunication tools to assess and guide care.
• Ensures scheduling and follow-up on test results, explains results and medications to patients.
• Applies ANA Code of Ethics to professional obligations and patient care.
• Maintains ongoing professional development and adherence to standards of care.
