Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a registered nurse for our Telehealth/Telephone Triage team in Winston-Salem, NC. This role focuses on patient-centered care, using telecommunication to assess and guide care, with emphasis on safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements include an RN license in the appropriate state, BCLS certification, two years of acute care experience (BSN preferred). ACLS/PALS/PEARS may be needed in some areas; licensure in other states may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice and BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS or PEARS may be required within one year in select areas.
• BSN preferred; two years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care, assisting and supporting patients to manage health care needs.
• Applies critical reasoning and clinical judgment via telecommunication to expedite appropriate care.
• Ensures scheduling and follow up on test results with providers using approved protocols.
• Applies the ANA Code of Ethics to professional obligations and patient care.
• Participates in professional development and governance, promoting leadership and clinical excellence.
• Focuses on patient safety and quality of nursing care, coordinating with care teams.
• Adapts communication style to diverse backgrounds and maintains comprehensive documentation.
