Job summary

Atrium Health seeks an experienced registered nurse for a full-time telephone triage role in the Patient Access & Care Team. Duties include triage, care assessment, and education, with collaboration across practices to deliver timely clinical solutions.

Requires 5+ years of patient-facing RN experience, BSN preferred, and valid RN licenses. Epic/Microsoft skills and triage experience are preferred. Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:30pm with salary in the posted range.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in applicable state.
• Experience in telephone triage, pediatrics and ED triage desired.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage with diverse patient population.
• Assesses needed care and collaborates with patients to provide clinical solutions.
• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
• Actively participates in team conferences and helps assess patient education needs.
• Notifies each practice, physician, and/or managed care client of all encounters before office opening.
• Notifies designated leadership of operational concerns.
