Description:This position offers 48 guaranteed hours per week.You will work in a telemetry unit with a total of 36 beds.The patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:3 during the AM shift and 1:4 on PM shifts.You will typically provide total RN-based care with unit secretaries scheduled from 07:00 to 19:00.The unit features various equipment, including BiPAP machines, heated high-flow nasal cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps.The documentation system used is Meditech.The scheduling requirements for full-time staff include 36 hours per week with a rotation every third weekend.Part-time staff work 48 hours per week with the same weekend rotation.PRN staff have varying shift requirements based on their work designation.Floating policies apply for PRN staff, and full-time and part-time staff float based on scheduled dates.Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds.This unit has received an Honorable Mention for Unit of Distinction in 2018.Education opportunities are available, and new cardiac monitors provide visibility of cardiac rhythms in each room.
