Description:The unit has a total of 24 beds.Staff consists of 36 team members.The day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs/LVNs, 2 aides, and 1 unit clerk.The night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs/LVNs, and 2 aides.Patient ratios are 1:6.Equipment utilized includes C.O.W.s, BP Machines, Doppler, Bladder Scanner, Heating Pad, Hoyer Lift, Sara Steady, Sit to Stand, Traction, SCDs, IV Pumps, PCA Pump, Epidural Pump, Ambit Pain Pump, KCI & Prevena Wound Vac, and EMR Meditech Expanse (PCS).Common procedures performed include daily weights, vital signs, intake/output, hourly rounding, bedside report, CBI, cardiac gtt, heparin gtt, phototherapy, wound care, IV starts, discharging and admitting patients, NGT, and Foley care.Candidates should be self-motivated, take initiative, and be team players.Floating area may include ICU for MedSurg overflow patients.Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.Weekend shifts are required, with a schedule that includes every other weekend or 2 weekends, and holidays are mandatory.Requests for time off must be pre-approved.
