Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN program with current state licensure.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting.
• Must provide documented evidence of the baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years from the RN start date if the start date is April 1, 2020 or after.

Responsibilities

• Lead the unit in daily planning and coordination of assigned work.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, resources, and finances.
• Provide leadership through staff development, teaching, precepting, committee work, quality improvements and participation in evidence-based practice and research.
• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Maintain Mayo Nursing Care Model practices and may provide direct clinical care when required.
