Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Telemetry on a full-time day shift. The role focuses on general medical surgery, telemetry and post-op care for patients leaving ICU, in a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Required: RN license, Associate degree or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred. BCLS/ACLS and CPI training completed and current. Prior telemetry/cardiac experience is advantageous. Benefits include comprehensive health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• 1 year RN clinical experience required; 2 years in cardiac/telemetry preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI training annually.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and during transfers.
