Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical Telemetry in Plano, TX. Full-Time Nights, 7p–7a, with weekend and holiday requirements. 1:5 patient ratio, 22-bed unit, and post-acute transfer coordination.

Required: Associate degree in nursing; RN licensure upon hire and BCLS current. BSN preferred and RN residency candidates welcome. A supportive team and growth opportunities are highlighted in benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program.
• RN Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• BCLS updated before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
• Initiates information sharing with patients and families as needed.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and during transfers.
