Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCCU Surgical Telemetry unit. This full-time night shift (7p-7a) offers a 36-hour work week with weekend and holiday requirements. The unit specializes in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients with a high-acuity telemetry focus.

Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma or ADN; BSN preferred. Requires 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency, plus RN license and BCLS/ACLS/CPI certifications.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or ADN or BSN preferred.
• RN license required; BCLS, ACLS and CPI training required.
• BCMSN/CRRN/PCCN are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety and infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates information needs for patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
