Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical Telemetry at Texas Health Plano. This full-time night role covers 3-12 hour shifts, 7pm–7am, with a patient-centered approach using the Nursing Process.

The unit handles telemetry, post cath care, and assorted cardiac monitoring with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Ideal candidates have Med/Surg Tele experience and Texas RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing on hire.
• BCLS certification upon hire, ACLS within 90 days, CPI within 60 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience required; Med/Surg Tele experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Performs patient assessment and plans individualized care.
• Initiates interventions and evaluates outcomes.
• Maintains age-specific safety and infection control.
• Ensures continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
