Job summary

Texas Health Resources Plano, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for Neuro Telemetry on nights to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process. You’ll assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care while ensuring safety and continuity across shifts and transfers.

The role requires an associate degree or diploma in nursing, BSN preferred, and 1 year of nursing experience or completion of an RN residency. ACLS/BCLS and CPI training within 60 days are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nurse Program.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support and ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Req
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
