Surgical Stepdown is a fast-paced department that offers care for a wide variety of medical diagnoses. Patients range from complex surgeries to traumas, withdrawals, and more. The department works closely with surgeons, hospitalists, and therapy services to use a multidisciplinary approach to help patients return to their prior level of function. It is an excellent department to gain skills, knowledge, and confidence.

• Requires excellent critical thinking skills and quick decision-making abilities
• Offers endless educational opportunities due to its diverse nature

• 29-bed unit
• RN ratio 3-4 patients with tech support
• 24/7 Leadership support
• Collaborate daily with Care Management, RT, PT, ST, OT, Lab, Pharmacy, Transport, and Surgical Services

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Current RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license, maintained as per state requirements
