Mercy Hospital South Neuro Step Down (NSD) is a unit dedicated to the care of neuro-surgical and neuro-medicine patients requiring frequent assessment and specialized neuro care. It is a 10-bed unit with visualization of each patient room. RN ratio is 3-4 patients per RN with tech support.

NSD focuses on patients with:

  • Neuro muscular diseases
  • Ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
  • Seizure disorder
  • Brain tumor
  • Respiratory conditions requiring ventilatory support

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
