Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Step-Down/ Critical Care ward. The RN will provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a 38-bed unit handling post-operative and specialty surgical patients, including trauma and transplant cases.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, education).
• Communicate with health care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and enter/interprete computerized data; follow policies.
