Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit. As the largest trauma hospital in New England, BMC offers a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional care in a supportive environment that emphasizes professional growth.

The RN will be responsible for providing patient-centered care, coordinating with health care teams, and ensuring quality interventions. Candidates should possess an active Massachusetts RN license and have at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification required for certain practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit.
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Update and manage patient records.

Skills

Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license

Verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer proficiency

Fluency in another language

Education

Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)

Tools

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
