Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a highly capable Surgical RN II for the busy Surgical Specialty Unit. You will provide expert nursing care for pre- and post-surgical patients across Plastic, ENT, Gynecologic, and Urology services, collaborating with physicians, residents, and staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, education, and patient advocacy on a high-volume floor. Night shifts include a $5000 bonus; comprehensive benefits, PTO, and retirement options are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program and able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 1 year of RN experience; some units require more.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and communicate with patient/family.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions and adjust plans as condition changes.
