Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Surgical Specialty Floor RN II to provide high-volume inpatient surgical and medical care with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, care coordination, education, and discharge planning, on a busy 6 Green/Blue unit with multiple specialties. Day and night shifts with a $5,000 bonus for night shift only; on-site work.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience; proficiency in English reading/writing.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS; nursing program graduate.
• Preferred BSN or higher.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document nursing assessments and care plans.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care with the health team.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and modify care as needed.
• Educate patients and families; ensure discharge planning.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
