Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking an RN for the Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).

The unit features a 30-bed team delivering diverse post-operative care and collaborates across departments to ensure patient-centered outcomes. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, active RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and unit-specific credentials with timely completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license (state-specific or compact).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (or within 30 days).
• Unit-specific certifications with timeline for completion.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in line with Mercy Service Standards.
