Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a part-time RN for the Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. This night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) role supports a high-energy, 30-bed unit with diverse orthopedic and general surgeries, under Mercy's care standards.

You will utilize the nursing process, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, protect patient rights, and contribute to safe, compassionate care delivery in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license (state-specific or compact).
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
• Unit-specific certifications with timeline for completion.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Maintains a high-energy, fast-paced Surgical & Orthopedic unit with 30 beds.
