Job summary
Corewell Health in Michigan seeks a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist to develop, implement, and evaluate professional development programs that advance nursing practice and patient outcomes. The role operates within Education Surgical Services and collaborates with staff, leadership, and researchers to strengthen professional growth and organizational learning.
Responsibilities include designing education content, measuring outcomes, and leading inter-professional learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
- RN license in Michigan upon hire required; BC-NPD certification within 2 years preferred.
- BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or ARC).
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs.
- Analyze learning needs and measure outcomes of educational activities.
- Collaborate with leaders and staff to advance NPD practice.
- Apply educational assessment, curriculum development, and evaluation techniques.
- Promote staff retention and engagement through effective learning processes.
