Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; NYS RN license required.
• 1 year RN experience in geriatric or rehabilitation settings; 3+ years preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented and followed.
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, and documentation.
• Address concerns from residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling, and overtime as needed.
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, infection control, and resident rights.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in QAPI initiatives.

Salaried: $83,200 - $91,520 annually (depending on experience)
Hourly equivalent: $40-$44/hour
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $7,500
Shift: Full-Time
Schedule: 3 pm -11 pm or 11 pm -7 am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services
• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
