Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift (7:00am–7:30pm) at our Detroit-area nursing and rehab facility. You will lead nursing care, educate residents, and collaborate with a skilled team to enhance quality of life for seniors.

The role emphasizes supervision of LPNs and CNAs, safe medication administration, and timely responsive care. Nursing licensure in the state and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services and health education for residents.
• Supervise care provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other team members.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Assess residents’ health and notify the physician of changes in status; implement new orders promptly.
• Develop and implement a plan of care based on assessment.
• Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA) and the plan of care.
