Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Lakeview Manor in Michigan. The RN will oversee and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts, assess and plan resident care, and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to ensure quality care and safety.

Responsibilities include staffing plans, evaluations, and adherence to laws and policies. The role offers strong benefits and opportunities to contribute to resident well-being and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as an RN.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
