Job summary

Scripps Memorial Encinitas is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Supervisor in our Emergency Services department. This full-time, salaried role supports clinical leadership in a fast-paced ED and offers night shift scheduling with a competitive benefits package.

The department features a 38-bed, level III ED located near Southern California beaches. New hire and relocation incentives up to $7K are available to eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety
• Working under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, the supervisor will share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
• Ensuring appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge.
• Ensuring the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

The Patient Care Supervisor in the Emergency Services responsibilities include:
