Scripps Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU to deliver expert critical care to diverse patients in a high-acuity environment.

The RN contributes to collaborative care with 12-hour night shifts and a 72 hours per 2-week pay period schedule. New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K are available, reflecting commitment to skilled clinicians and team-based care.

Schedule: 72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour night shifts

The RN Clinical Mentor functions primarily as an RN with additional duties. Takes responsibility for assigned patients during RN relief periods. Works collaboratively and educationally with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. Takes responsibility for education and guidance of Registered Nurses regarding the nursing process, critical thinking, accountability for the plan of care and it's relation to patient outcomes, and communication/collaboration with all team members. Functions as a clinical expert, role model, mentor and resource in a designated practice area. Works collaboratively with the Charge Nurse, Educator and Manager of that area to develop a learning environment for the caregivers, as well as a service, outcome and care oriented environment for the patients.
