Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Supervisor for Med Surg ICU in Illinois. This FT Night shift leadership role oversees planning, coordination and evaluation of patient care in designated areas and serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients.

The incumbent may perform staff nurse duties as needed and will follow Mercy Service Standards. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Illinois RN licensure (compact preferred), BLS certification, and at least 2 years of patient

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in Illinois or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.
• Supervisor experience and Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of operations and patient care in designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Perform duties as staff nurse in the department as needed.
• Assume managerial duties delegated by a manager.
