Job summary

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise nursing staff and coordinate resident care in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes safety, communication with families, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualified candidates hold an active Ohio RN license with CPR certification and have at least 1 year of Long-Term Care experience. PointClickCare experience is a plus, with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited program.
A current, active Ohio RN license and CPR certification.
At least 1 year of experience in long-term care.
Experience with PointClickCare is a plus.

Responsibilities

Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation and understanding.
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of residents.
Communicates with family members regarding resident progress.
Charts all required information regarding residents.
Observes and directs nurse aide staff and assists in orientation of new staff.
Observes residents and records significant conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and incidents.
Responds to life‑saving situations per standards, policies, and protocol.
Initiates resident education plans per facility policy.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities per policies and applicable laws.
