Job summary

Bedford Care Centers in Mississippi is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to coordinate care across long-term care units. You will supervise Nurses and Nurse Aides, ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, and communicate effectively with Physicians, Residents, and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Mississippi RN license, achieves TB certification within the first year, and has LTC supervision experience.

Qualifications

RN license in good standing in Mississippi.
TB certification within the first year of accepting the position.
Experience in long-term care nursing supervision preferred.
Pass drug screens and a satisfactory criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise Nurses and Nurse Aides to ensure quality resident care.
Make rounds with Physicians and conduct daily resident rounds.
Record and monitor Residents’ conditions; arrange transportation to outside appointments.
Use Documentation Guidelines to chart timely, informative nursing actions.
Participate in Resident Assessment and Care Planning as needed.
Conduct complete Resident Assessment and Nursing History/Physical for admits, transfers, discharges.
Monitor IV Therapy and IV medications as ordered.
Conduct QA assessments; inform DON of issues.
Ensure compliance with Bedford policies.
