Bedford Care Center of Petal is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to organize and direct the work of Nurses and Nurse Aides in a long-term care setting, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in good standing in Mississippi, must obtain TB Certification within the first year, and has strong communication to interact with Residents, Physicians, and staff.

Qualifications

• RN License in good standing in Mississippi.
• Possess TB Certification within first year of accepting position.
• Experience in Long-Term Care supervision preferred.
• Pass drug screens and Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to providing compassionate care to our elders.
• Supervises Nurses and Nurse Aides to coordinate and ensure quality resident care.
• Makes rounds with Physicians and conducts resident rounds daily.
• Records and monitors residents’ conditions and communicates with physicians.
• Assists with arranging residents’ transportation to outside appointments.
• Uses Documentation Guidelines to provide timely, informative charting.
• Participates in Resident Assessment and Care Planning as needed.
• Conducts Resident Assessment and Nursing History/Physical for admits, transfers, discharges.
• Monitors IV Therapy and IV medications as ordered.
• Conducts QA Assessments; informs DON of issues.
• Monitors and evaluates care quality by agency nurses; ensures policy compliance.
