Job summary

Forest Grove Post Acute is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the shift, ensuring compliance with governing regulations. The role involves assisting the DON/ADON in directing nursing services, participating in quality assurance, and contributing to discharge and care planning for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active RN license.
• Experience supervising nursing activities in long-term care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during shift to ensure quality care.
• Assist DON/ADON in directing nursing services and updating policies and procedures.
• Participate in committees (Infection Control, Quality Assurance, Care Plan) and prepare reports as required.
• Develop and maintain discharge plans, care plans, and resident assessments; ensure timely physician documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, safety, and infection control practices across the unit.
