Chaplinwood Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to oversee licensed and unlicensed nursing staff, ensuring compliant, high-quality patient care in a non-profit, mission-driven environment.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, coordinate care planning and MDS processes, mentor staff, and maintain communication with physicians and families while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills required.
• Effective and professional verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsabilités

• Assists the Director of Nursing in organizing and directing the day-to-day functions of the licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
• Admits, discharges and transfers patients as requested.
• Develops work assignments for unlicensed staff.
• Communicates with physicians, arranges for transportation for doctor appointments and contacts families.
