Job summary

Chalet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and support the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include directing nursing staff, documenting care, administering medications, and fostering a safe, respectful, and collaborative care environment within the facility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and regulations governing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; file required reports and chart nursing notes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Build rapport with inter-departmental staff and coordinate care with physicians.
• Monitor safety and use of equipment; ensure privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
